About Economic Displacement Relocation Assistance (EDRA)

To qualify, your household must be low-income (80% AMI or below). Payment is guaranteed by the City if you qualify and move out before the rent increase goes into effect. Tenants who apply and qualify will receive a one-time payment from the City of Seattle of approximately 3 times your average monthly housing cost. To complete eligibility reviews, staff needs income and rental documentation to know more about your specific situation. This process will walk you through the steps to provide that documentation. For more information for on what documents you will need to provide, please visit: www.seattle.gov/rentinginseattle/edra. Important: You must commit to move out and notify your landlord before you can apply. Applying does not guarantee payment; your application must be evaluated and approved by SDCI to receive payment.

If you need assistance, please contact us at EDRA@seattle.gov or the Renting in Seattle helpline: (206) 684-5700.
